The Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust (KVPT) was founded in 1990 with the mission to safeguard the threatened architectural and urban heritage of the Kathmandu Valley. The valley boasts a concentration and quality of architecture of significance to all humanity, extending well beyond the confines of its seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The negative impact of today’s development pressures poses a threat not only to individual monuments but to the future of public space and urban life in the valley at large.
Kathmandu Valley Preservation Trust is a United States tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization.
